Ivy And Gold are the London duo of Jamie Davies and Rachel Wilkinson, another male-female tour de force joining the likes of IYES, Avec Sans et al who assertively stroll forth with enviable harmonies and rousing choral upheavals. Their EP "Smoke And Mirrors" is a salivating mix of breathy pop tinged with electronic attraction.

The latest instalment from the highly revered EP is "Headlights" which further enhances the pair's production ethic; simple yet refined music intricately laced with towering choruses and pristine vocal impact throughout. Contorted digitalism and dehumanised whirs intersperse circumspect piano resonance and crackling beats. "Headlights" stumbles between stark electronic exploration and solid pop foundations albeit with a certain finesse that reminds us of Purity Ring or Keep Shelley In Athens. London has yet another music act to be proud of.

Check out the music video for "Headlight" below then be sure to grab yourself the EP "Smoke And Mirrors". Like this review? Share, re-tweet and spread the new music love.
